Lunch - Bowl of chicken tortilla soup - YUM

Snack - a small handful of seseme crackers

Post-Holiday Pig Kicking

Back on the wagon??? Really??? Do I hafta??? It's so hard to get motivated. I must. I must. I must. Any push/encouragement is appreciated.

Breakfast - Oatmeal with a sprinkle of brown sugar and a splash of low-fat cream. (I'm out of milk)

Coffee - 1 cup with cream and also a half cup of tea.

Water - what's that?! I know. I know. I'm going to go get some already. Hmph. 20 Oz. with lunch. Working on a small bottle now.

Snack - None, but I just got a tiny box in the mail with a Christmas card from one of my doctor friends. I opened the little box (about the size of a ring box) and contained therein was ONE piece of chocolate. My co-worker and I giggled at the lonely chocolate. I guess I don't have to share this box of chocolate(s?). Ha ha ha... Well, for now it is tucked away. It was nice to be remembered. Ok - I did have about a cup of carmel popcorn.

Lunch - 3 chicken fingers. A scoop of mashed potatoes with a dribble of gravy. A spoonful of cooked mushrooms with a little bit of butter. YUM - O.

Exercise - again... Do I hafta??? Ugh!

Dinner - something sensible I hope. YES - a bowl of Great Grains whole grain cereal with about a cup of milk.

Holiday Festivities Sabotage Pig Kicking Efforts

I don't know about you fellow bloggers, but I feel like any and all efforts made over the past couple of months have been tossed to the wind over the Christmas holiday. We had a grand feast of every sort of snickity snack you might imagine... lucious dips and crackers and cheese and cream puffs and cookies and chocolates and olives and fruit and vegetables and pepperoni roll and mini reubens and you name it we had it!!!!

Sunday

Doing better today, but feeling really lazy!

Breakfast - Special K with 2% milk and a few slices of apple and a few sips of coffee.

Lunch - turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread with miracle whip and a handful of chips.

Dinner - 3 square pieces of thin and crispy spinich and mushroom pizza.

Snacks - A handful of cherry tomatoes and a popsicle (not together)

Exercise - I'm really not feeling so good... hmmm... I was entirely lazy throughout the day. I watched more tv today that I would normally watch in a week. YIKES.

Saturday

On Saturday I didn't get to blog because I was pretty busy all day.

For breakfast I had a pickle sandwich on whole wheat bread with Miracle Whip and a slice of cheese.

I drank a large Poweraide.

My friend helped me get 2 loads of gravel and we shoveled both off the truck - great exercise!

We went to a party in the afternoon where I had 2 glasses of wine, a small portion of chicken casserole, and some salad filled with all sorts of stuff... a couple of cookies and some yummy snickity snacks.

Later that night I had a bottle of water, a half of a cheeseburger with lots of lettuce and tomoato and shared a few nachos with Keith. (what was I thinking?)

I didn't feel so well last night... cold and upset stomach.

Monday's Madness

So here we go... another week on its way.

Breakfast: yogurt with a sprinkle of walnuts. (I ran out of oatmeal)

Vitamin/Aspirin: YES

Water: 10 oz. so far, 20 oz. with lunch, another 10 oz.; another 16 oz in the evening.

Coffee: not yet. One cup with cream.

Snack: 4 peanut butter crackers; a handful of mini carrots on the way home

Lunch: turkey and swiss on a light bun with a side of cottage cheese.

Exercise: Walking across campus and up the steps to the 3rd floor. I added an extra flight of steps today as it is so cold that instead of walking outside and up from the 1st floor entrance, I stayed inside and hoofed it up from the basement. I've made this trek 3 times already today. I also walked, and even jogged a bit on the treadmill tonight. Refreshing I tell you!

Dinner: 2 stuffed cabbage rolls and a glass of milk

Gotta Catch Up Again

I have not been posting because I've just been plain busy. I haven't been totally good on my diet this weekend. I should have had more water and less red-meat, but I haven't been totally bad this weekend either. I did eat salad, chicken & rice, and last night I made a burger with sauted onion and cabbage - served with bleu cheese. I know - weird. I do that sometimes.

I haven't been sitting around too much. After last week I think maybe I should be feeling rather rested by now. Keith took me to a museum in Pittsburgh on Saturday. I didn't much care for the museum trip, but it was good to walk around and do some steps. Saturday night we prepped and primed the upstairs hallway. I was the "go-for" for everything. Up and down two flights of stairs numerous times. My arms are still a little sore from all the painting. Who knew that it could be considered exercise? Sunday I went out to the farm and helped Rene'e. We winterized, so to speak. Starting last night, the horses will get grain 2x/day and sleep in their stalls at night. We cleaned the stalls and bedded them up nice and deep with fresh sawdust. We fluffed a bale of straw for the goat. We scrubbed all the water buckets and feed buckets. This was definitely good exercise.
